May 11, 2021There are so many benefits to getting involved in the GB Spring Clean. Feeling part of the community, gaining a sense of satisfaction, burning off a bit of energy, and helping to protect wildlife are just a few reasons why you should get involved. Most of all, its so easy to be part of this huge environmental campaign and Manchester City Council and the Keep Manchester Tidy partnership is here to help.
This year the campaign will see groups and individuals pledge their time to litter pick locally. Every minute pledged will be converted into miles, with the national aim of reaching a total of one million miles.
Litter Picking Drop In Stations
Following the success of our summer drop-ins, Keep Manchester Tidy is hosting a series of Litter Picking Drop-in Stations. Simply turn up to one of our drop-in stations anytime between 11am and 2pm, grab yourself a litter picker and quick safety briefing and get involved in litter picking. It doesn’t matter if you only have ten minutes, or you have an hour, as every minute of litter picking helps to improve the environment and takes us a mile closer to achieving the GB Spring Clean million mile aim.
