Our direction

The world of social housing is facing some tough challenges, with the need to balance government requirements for cost savings with delivering the best possible service that we can to our customers.

We are proud that despite those external challenges, we continue to be recognised for our commitment to excellence by external assessors and, perhaps even more importantly, by our own tenants.
Throughout its long history Arawak Walton has always sought to retain close ties with the individuals we are here to serve. It is only with constant communication, seeking advice, opinions and suggestions from those who live in our communities that we can continue to deliver a great service and aim for even higher achievements.

We continue to aim higher in the service we offer to our tenants and we continue to look for opportunities to grow our asset base.

By 2021 we aspire to have:

  • 1077 homes in management
  • An additional £5m loan facility in place to meet our growth aspirations
  • Improved use of technology to address our staff and customers’ needs
  • Efficiency achieved through collaboration
    and innovation
  • Well maintained and designed which address our green agenda
  • Governance structures in place to deliver our vision
  • Appropriately skilled and motivated staff

By 2021 we aspire to be:

  • The housing provider of choice for all of
    our customers
  • Financially strong and remain independent
  • Nationally recognised for our BME
    specialist knowledge
  • A key part of strategic delivery plans in all 3
    local authority areas (Manchester, Stockport
    and Trafford).
