Arawak Walton were delighted to support the Cheetham Hill Cultural festival this weekend.  The Festival is in its 19th year, celebrates the diversity of the area, and is a crucial ‘bringing together’ of people from all ethnicities and faiths across Cheetham Hill.  Community Centres and places of worship throw open their doors to welcome those who want to understand, want to learn more, and want to connect with others in their community that they may not otherwise have the opportunity to talk to.

Housing Services Manager, Tara Horner, attended.  She enjoyed meeting Pakistani and Turkish community members and learning about traditional South Asian attire at the Guidance Hub’s Family Fun Day.  She made links with community partners Winning Hearts & Minds, watched performances at Manchester Jewish Museum, visited the Ukranian Cultural Centre and immersed herself in Sikh history and culture at Central Gurduwara.
