How do I apply?

Step One.
You can apply for a home by completing our online Housing Enquiry Form. The form will give us some brief details of your circumstances.

Step Two.
Once you have completed our Housing Enquiry Form, our team will review the information to check whether we are able to rehouse you in the next 5 years.

Step Three.
If you meet the criteria, you will receive an email with a link to the full application form to complete. If you need any help completing this form, you can telephone our office on 0161 272 6094

Step Four.
Once we have your completed application form, we will invite you to attend an interview where you will need to provide some supporting documentation (which could include proof of your identity or supporting medical documents)

Step Five.
Once this has been checked and accepted we will then add you to our waiting list.

How does the waiting list work?

We are a registered social landlord. About half of all the homes that become available for letting are let through Local Authorities. Letting schemes can be accessed here:

The other half of our homes are let directly by ourselves.

Once you have been accepted onto the waiting list, you will be considered for available homes with us that meet your particular needs. Whether or not a home meets your needs will depend on the size of the home, how many bedrooms it has and its location. This will be based on the information you give us on your application form and on our interview with you.

Every time a someone is allocated a home, you will move up on the waiting list. When you get close to the top of the list we will contact you to arrange a viewing at one of our available homes.

Who gets priority?

Our main aim is to help people who are in housing need and for this reason we award priority points to people depending on the situation that they are in. For example, if you are single mother living in overcrowded conditions that are unsafe for you and your child you will get more priority points than a single male without children. We also award points for the length of time that you have been on the waiting list. When a suitable home becomes available you will be considered against the priority points of other applicants and the one with the highest number of points will be offered the home first.

The first person on the list does not always accept the home and therefore being lower in the priority scale does not mean that you could not be offered a home
