As one of a number of housing providers who operate in Moss Side and Whalley Range, Arawak Walton are saddened to hear about the tragic events of Saturday night, which led to two people losing their lives. Along with our local councillors, we would like to extend our thoughts and condolences to their families and the communities affected by this incident at this difficult time. Working with partners, we will be reaching out to local residents to see what we can do to support the community in a proactive and positive way. 

We know that Moss Side and Whalley Range are vibrant active communities that celebrate and embrace diversity and inclusion. We want to work with communities and our partners to harness the spirit of Moss Side/Whalley Range and make the area a place where people can live, work and socialise safely and without fear of intimidation. A significant level of investment and great work has already taken place and we are keen to hear the community’s views on this and any new approaches that might be needed to address some of the issues. We will work with you and partners to identify the proactive steps we need to take to keep the area safe for local people – to add to the plans that are already in place.
