To raise awareness for Sickle Cell Disease, Val Owen completed a 60 mile bike ride from Manchester to Blackpool on the 7th July 2019.

Sickle Cell Care Manchester strive to support people diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD), their families and carers, in order to empower affected individuals and to enhance their quality of life. 

Sickle Cell Care Manchester also work to improve awareness of SCD,   not only in the communities most at risk of the condition, but also more widely, to improve knowledge and understanding of SCD, and to foster acceptance of those living with the condition.
