Below is an update in regards to the West Indian Sports and Social Club

Further meetings have now taken place between council departments and it’s partners and Trustees of the WISSC to explore issues key to delivering the vision and values of the club. Improving the condition of the building and identifying works to improve the future of the club in the short and long term is a key priority for the group and a condition survey will take place in the near future.

Opportunities for funding are being looked at and more recently a group of senior council officers and politicians visited the WISSC to meet with trustees to develop the relationship further.  A planned street community event will take place on Westwood Street later this month, please look out for publicity and come along to enjoy the day.”
